When we return to school it will be week:  A

    Values and Vision

We aspire to be an inspirational school at the heart of the community, giving our students an excellent educational experience and equipping them to be resilient, lifelong learners.

It is our belief that students should leave Gosford Hill having pushed the limits of their potential – whatever that might look like for each individual student.

We aim to provide our young people with the skills, qualifications and confidence to go on to great things.

Our students should leave with happy memories of Gosford Hill, as well as friendships that are firm and plentiful.

We seek to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for communities, and we look to send our young people out into the world with a knowledge of how it works and a desire to make it better.

We are proud to serve the community in and around Kidlington and are privileged to play a part in its social, moral, cultural and spiritual development.

We support British and human values of justice, tolerance, democracy, fairness and understanding.

    Responsible

    ‘Do the right thing’

    • We are on time to school and lessons
    • We are fully equipped for every lesson; our equipment & conduct cards are out on our desks
    • We remain in our seats unless given permission to do otherwise
    • We always try our best and never disrupt the learning of others
    • We work in silence during Silent Solo
    • We take on responsibility through opportunities outside the classroom

    Respectful

    ‘Be kind and polite’

    • All mobile devices are switched off and, along with headphones, are in our bags, out of sight
    • We listen to and follow all instructions given by staff
    • We listen to others who are talking and do not talk over anybody
    • We do not shout during a lesson
    • We respect others, their opinions and their efforts
    • We respect our school environment

    Resilient

    ‘Never give up’

    • We complete all work to the best of our ability
    • We do not give up when something is difficult; instead, we look for ways to overcome challenges
    • We ask for clarification when needed
