The Governors of our school are a committed group of people who want to make a positive contribution to our students’ education. They have an important role and combine their dedication and specialism to achieve this. On this page we have introduced ourselves and would welcome any feedback or questions you would like to put forward.
Chair of Governors (Community Governor)
Link Governor for SEND and Pupil Premium
Margaret has enjoyed two separate careers, firstly as an IT project manager and business programme manager in the financial services sector, and then as a maths teacher. She worked in the maintained and independent sector and has recently retired as Deputy Head (International) at St Edward’s School in Oxford. As a school governor, her priority is to support the school in delivering an education that will help all of its pupils to be ambitious for themselves and for their community. Originally from the North East, she has lived in Oxford for 20 years and did part of her teacher training at Gosford Hill in 2004.

Link Governor for Stakeholder Management and Community Relations
Cath Mundell has been a Kidlington resident since 2002. Having worked in academic and educational publishing for more than 30 years, most of it for Oxford University Press, she believes strongly in the power of knowledge and education to improve the lives and opportunities of people of all ages.
For much of her career Cath worked in leadership roles in Marketing, Marketing Operations, and Communications, as well as managing teams in PR, Sales Operations, Customer Services, and Data Management. During her working life she has worked on many change initiatives of varying sizes, encompassing all types of transformation from organisational to technological. She is currently working at UK Research and Innovation as the Change and Communications Lead on a programme of data and technology projects.
Link Governor for staff (well-being recruitment/retention and career development) (Parent Governor)
Katy is a psychotherapist and a counsellor with over 10 years experience of working with work related mental health and well-being. She is currently Service Manager at Rightsteps,Turning Point where she manages a team of therapists providing a range of support to employees from various organisations.
She has two boys attending Gosford Hill School and enjoys dancing, swimming and Pilates.
Member of the Budget Scrutiny Group (Parent Governor)
David is a Parent Governor and joined Gosford Hill Governors in September 2023.
Safeguarding Governor (Parent Governor)
Meghann Hewett joined us in September 2022 as a Parent Governor and is a resident of the local area. Meghann has been a teacher for 16 years and has experience of teacher training and well-being in her roles in school.
Elizabeth is a staff Governor and teacher of Geography. She joined Gosford Hill Governors in October 2023.
Community Governor
Dylan joined the GHS Governing Body in September 2024 and is the link governor for academic data and careers.
Headteacher and ex officio member
Tom Boulter took up the role of Interim Headteacher in September 2027. His substantive role is as Director of Secondary Education for the River Learning Trust, and prior to that he has worked in several local secondary schools in teaching and senior leadership positions. He will remain in role at Gosford Hill until the appointment of a permanent headteacher, which we anticipate will take place for a January 2027 start.
