    Behaviour and Rewards

    Our expectation is for all students to have impeccable behaviour at all times, this will have a positive impact on their learning and progress. Our behaviour system aligns with our school values of Responsible, Respectful and Resilience.

    Achievement Credits

    Students are able to gain achievement credits by showing any of the below. These will be recorded by staff. They are then collated by tutors and the Head of Year leading to additional rewards.

    • All mobile devices are switched off and, along with headphones, are in our bags, out of sight

    • We respect others, their opinions and their efforts
    • We respect our school environment
    • We complete all work to the best of our ability
    • We do not give up when something is difficult; instead we look for other ways to overcome challenges
    • We ask for help or clarification when needed

    Classroom Expectations

    Students are expected to follow the core classroom routines and activities as outlined under the headings of Responsible, Respectful and Resilient (RRR). If students fail to follow the ‘RRR’ expectations:

    • Student will initially will be warned (C1).
    • If they then continue to not meet any of the RRR expectations the student will be parked (C2) from the lesson.
    • When parked a student will be placed into the Reset Room for the remainder of the lesson.
    • Detentions for standards last for 20 minutes on the next school day at lunchtime. Detentions for removals or behaviour not demonstrating our values last for 60 minutes after school the next day.
    • If a student fails to turn up for a lunchtime detention, they will serve an after-school detention that afternoon, until 4:15pm (Monday to Thursday) or until 3:00pm (Friday).
    • Students will be expected to take responsibility for attending their detentions. Reminders are sent via email the day before each detention and they will appear as Bromcom alerts.
    • If a student receives more than C2s during the day, they will remain in our Reset Room.
